Grammy Award winning rapper T.I. served 1,000 hours of community service, a part of which was chronicled in the aforementioned MTV reality TV series, T.I.’s Road to Redemption. If he completed the community service, he might be sentenced to one year and one day in prison.
Similar to Lil’ Kim’s case, the one year and a day prison sentence would allow him early release for good behavior whereas a one-year prison term would not.
U.S. Attorney David E. Nahmias expressed satisfaction with T.I.’s community service.
“His prison sentence was reduced from what it might have been, but the public got something very significant in exchange: the extensive and unique community service program that Mr. Harris committed to doing when he pleaded guilty.
“By all accounts, his community service has been a remarkable success — it certainly exceeded our expectations — and there is still more to come when he gets out of prison.”
The rapper says he has ‘18, 19′ new songs completed. All of his last three albums, including the most recent, Paper Trail, have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. MTV News.
