Karaoke 1

No matter who you are or how old you are, you can have a great time pretending to be a star. Here are some popular tunes and some that I just threw in as well!

For the Teens:

Since you will most likely be doing the singing at home I have some great songs for slumber parties or a mixed parties. You can’t go wrong with more current music like Justin Bieber’s “Baby” or Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” is good. There is also Katy Perry’s “Firework” and Bruno Mars’ “Grenade.” If you want to be cool, don’t try and sing a sappy love song, keep it more upbeat.

For the Guys:

Once you boys get a little older, you may not want to get up on stage and sing, but perhaps after a couple drinks it sounds like a good idea. Well be sure to stick to a more manly songs and don’t be too goofy. Some top karaoke song classics for you would be “Born in the USA” by Bruce Springsteen or The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction.” I also would enjoy Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” or if you’re up for it, the Bon Jovie classic “Living on a Prayer.”

For the Ladies:

This is probably the hardest to narrow down. Us ladies can get away with a lot, but I still found a few definite crowd pleasers. Shania Twain’s “Man I Feel Like a Woman” is a safe, good song to sing if you aren’t overly confident in your vocals. And though love songs are nice, for a party stick with ones like “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” (Cyndy Lauper) or may “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor.

For Anyone:

Some songs I just couldn’t leave out, so here are a few that anyone can get up and belt out! If you want to do a male-female duet you can be sure to entertain with Olivia Newton John & John Travolta’s “Summer Nights” or “I Got You Babe” by Sonny & Cher. Other classics that you can always turn to include Jimmy Buffet’s “Margaritaville,” “Don’t Stop Believing” (Journey) and if you’re very brave “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen.

Now are you in the mood to sing? If you find yourself in a position where you have to sing, don’t worry. Pick any of these top karaoke party songs and you will be just fine! Have fun and don’t take it too seriously. And if you are still nervous, bring a friend up with you to take the pressure off! What do you think of these suggestions?
