This news is huge! This morning, proud Daddy Nick Cannon made the announcement on New York’s 92.3 radio station that they are expecting not one, but two little lambs! Since Mariah first confirmed pregnancy rumors back in October, it has stirred quite the baby buzz lately…is it a boy or girl? Perhaps two babies? Soon enough, the couple were seeing double.
During a recent interview with E!, Cannon has hinted at the possibility of carrying two babes, but has never really come out directly with their twice as nice bundle of joys. Regarding their pregnancy, Nick says, “When it comes to that it’s a touchy issue because you never want to speak on too much stuff too early… My wife referred to her stomach as ‘they’ and that probably wasn’t the wrong thing to do.” I guess one can never be too sure, until now.
The first to know about their exciting news? On air, Cannon says:
“They, ironically enough, questioned my wife about, you know, ‘So, what are you having, are you having twins?’ And at this point, she hadn’t told anybody anything because doctors advised us to keep it to ourselves until we get further along. Because of the excitement, because of the emotion, she was overwhelmed…she shared with the president and first lady that we are having twins.”
It is said that the couple chose not to reveal too much about the pregnancy due to Carey suffering a miscarriage a couple years back. An ultrasound shows that “both babies are healthy, in tip-top shape.” Such exciting news for all!
