Dan Dymtrow, Taylor Swift’s manager (former) is suing mad! Apparently not everyone thinks the country crooner is innocent and sweet. So why is Dan suing Miss Swift? Well, he’s claiming she owes him millions of dollars. Find out why below and see photos here!
Meet Dan Dymtrow, Taylor Swift’s manager (former) who has thrown a big fat lawsuit at the country cutie. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Dymtrow is fuming mad because he feels as if he was the one who molded Taylor into this mega music star. It is true, he was the first to get Taylor signed back in 2004 and that was when Swift was only 14 years of age. But now that she is raking in the dough, he is claiming that the five to ten percent cut that he and the Swift family agreed upon has not been paid to him.
Dan is saying that it was shortly after that he was fired that he was not paid any of the ching that Swift was earning.
Dymtrow’s lawyer Fernando Pinguelo said on behalf of his client, “They delayed and delayed … and subsequently signed the deal and kept his commissions for themselves.” Dymtrow is claiming that he was only paid $10,000 for helping to launch Swift’s career! Ouch!
But Swift’s lawyer Paul LiCalsi says differently. “For him to claim that her success and her major contracts were procured by him is ludicrous. And even if there were some merit to his claims, paying him on the contract would defeat the whole purpose of the law in New York, which is to protect minors who sign contracts.”
What we all didn’t know is that Swift’s camp and Dymtrow’s camp have been going at it since 2007! A fun little fact about Dymtrow is that he also managed Kevin Federline’s short-lived music career as well as Britney Spears. He currently serves as Mitchell Musso’s manager.
