The Jason Derulo What If video premiere is in support of Derulo’s fourth single from his self-titled album Jason Derulo.

The video’s concept has the singer about to propose to his girlfriend, however it is when she is about to get hit by a car that things take for a nasty turn. In efforts to try to save her, he runs as fast as he can only to have time stop. After the time stop we are warped back to the past to when he met his girl for the very first time.

Derulo takes the rhetorical question route posing the question “What if the only way to save the one you love was to never meet them?” So in the video instead, Derulo goes about his business by ignoring the chemistry that he and his gal pal had that initially brought them together in hopes of changing the fate of what was to ensue, her getting hit by a car.

Derulo’s album was released in March of 2010. What If was produced by big wig producer J.R. Rotem.
