MGMT graced the Saturday Night Live stage on Saturday, April 24th, 2010. Was following Ke$ha too tough of an act to follow for MGMT? (I hope you sense the sarcasm.) However, before you answer that question too quickly, watch the MGMT Flash Delirium SNL video here.

MGMT

MGMT hit up the Saturday Night Live stage after a Coachella performance, only to somewhat disappoint. Many critiques I have read include that of stiffness, poor stage presence and downright boring. We’ve got the MGMT Flash Delirium SNL video performance below so you can be the judge.

Instead of playing one of their popular hits, Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasse, the members of MGMT, decided to play two new songs from their new album titled Congratulations. Wise idea? Well, surely it was a promotional gig to get their new music out to the public, but perhaps they should have played at least one song familiar to viewers? The band also performed Brian Eno.

Upcoming performances for the band include May’s Sasquatch festival and August’s Lollapalooza.
