This is the 4th album for Alicia Keys which the mainstream media critics say does break any new ground. These are people who are so bored with their jobs that they would rather a singer do something new than sing in the style that makes them popular. But what do they know?

In our view the stuffy ones are wrong. This is a great album, and although the snobs might say this does not break any new ground who in the world wants Alicia Keys to break new ground? We will take her just as she is, thank you very much.

This one has it right on. “It’s a keeper, even if, like her other discs, it’s padded with filler.”

That filler is the soaring voice of one of the prime divas of pop music today. If you like Alicia Keys already, you will want to listen to this CD over and over again. If you are discovering her for the first time you will be just as excited as the rest of us were.
