For Gucci Mane jail is an all too familiar place. It was just last March that the rapper was released from his last stint in jail, and now he has been sentenced to 12 months for parole violation. Read more below.
Attorney’s for Radric Davis aka Gucci Mane revealed that the successful rap artist was apprehend by authorities earlier today (Nov. 12). Consequently, this could be career damaging for GM as he is close on the heels of his upcoming album “The State vs. Radric,” which is set for release on the 8th of December.
His arrest is a result of parole violation. In terms of jail time there is a possibility that he’ll be roaming the streets again in six months. However, his release date is still up in the air.
Immediately following the last time that he was released from the big house, the hip-hop entrepreneur got back into the studio. Five tracks were put down, and he was able to bounce back quickly.
This time may present more of a challenge, because right now he is one of the hottest rappers in the game. This year he elevated into mainstream success for the first time, and it’s critical to stay in the public eye to maintain that level of success. Which is more difficult to do from behind bars.
The CEO of So Icey Entertainment has collaborated with several A-list performers which include: Black Eyed Peas, Soulja Boy, Mario, Mariah Carey, Omarion, and 50 cent. Also, his new single “Spotlight” has superstar entertainer Usher singing the hook.

You really didn’t state how he violated his parole but I really don’t understand why these rappers LOVE going to the pen. Why is that? Do they not know they are stars with money and there’s no need to involve themselves in the crap they used to do BACK IN DA DAY! It’s obvious they have not grown or learned anything on the road to their success. I guess that old saying is true–”You can take the boy out da’ hood but you can’t take the hood out da’ boy!” It’s sad!
