Fans are saddened after Elton John cancels shows because of E. coli! On top of E.coli, Elton John is also suffering from influenza, and is in a London hospital.
Elton John has canceled several shows after suffering from “flu-like symptoms” and “extreme fatigue.”
The 62-year-old icon was hospitalized and is being treated for an E. coli bacterial infection and influenza, but told fans,
“Don’t worry, I’m fine.”
John’s civil spouse, David Furnish, also came out to reassure fans saying, “He’s OK. He’s fine.”
Currently, he has postponed his Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon, concert dates, which costar Billy Joel. He has also postponed a Dublin performance as well as London, Liverpool, Sheffield, and Newcastle.
He hopes to reschedule the Pacific Northwest concerts for December.
This is the second time this year that Elton has had to cancel concerts for sickness. Back in July he canceled several concerts for flu symptoms and exhaustion. Seems like he is pushing himself too hard, and there are some wicked viruses out there this year. Combine his age, his immune system likely being down from working so hard, it is no wonder he has been sick so much.
I hope he recovers quickly and is able to continue his tour. His fans are patiently waiting, and I know he loves performing. You can just feel the amazing energy he puts into a show!
