The highly anticipated All-American Rejects “I Wanna” video, which is off of the “When the World Comes Down” album, has finally premiered. You can find it here.
My goodness, what a wild music video!
The bands lead singer Tyson Ritter told Rolling Stone that this is the idea behind the insanity. A crazy shindig has been rolling forward for several days, and “in walks this little vixen with this alpha-male”. From there it goes into a series of memories, which are displayed via camera phones.
The type of cell used to show off the couples past is none other than the LG camera phone, and boy they sure used a lot of them. Which begs the question, is this a marketing tactic or does it actually benefit the plot? My answer is, both.
After watching the “I Wanna” video on YouTube, I have come to the conclusion that not only is it great advertising for LG, but also a brilliant concept to incorporate the phones into the vid in the manner that they were. So, not only did it add an extra dimension to the capture, but hopefully also put a little more dough into the bands pockets (Genius!).
Below are the opening lyrics to the song:
I never thought that I was so blind
I can finally see the truth
It’s me for you
Tonight you can’t imagine that I’m by your side
Cuz it’s never gonna be the truth
Too far for you
