Michael Jackson

New tapes of Michael Jackson talking about his life have come out in a new book, The Michael Jackson Tapes: A Tragic Icon Reveals His Soul in Intimate Conversation by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.

Michael sat down with the rabbi to write a book about the pop icon’s life. This was from August 2000 to April 2001, and then the molestation allegations came out and all interest in the project was lost.

There are over 30 hours of Michael talking about all aspects of his life. One of the most disturbing quotes, is when he talks about the fear instilled in him by his father, because of his alleged violent punishments.

“He was rough. The way he would beat you, you know, was hard. He would make you strip nude first. He would oil you down. It would be a whole ritual. He would oil you down so when the flip of the ironing cord hit you, you know… it was just like dying.”

Jackson also talks about his siblings, Madonna, children, and aging.

These tapes would have probably not been released, but the untimely death of the icon has left people dying to have a piece of him more than ever before.

The book has already printed 400,000 copies, and the actual audio can be found all over the internet. I have placed a video of it below. Tell me your thoughts below. Will you be purchasing this book?
