Vienna’s Jackson Tribute Concert Slated for September
Michael Jackson’s tribute concert – to be held at the impressive Schoebrunn Palace in Vienna, will feature a who’s who of international stars performing on a stage built to replicate a crown.
Events promoter World Awards Media GmbH said on their site:
“For one incredible night Michael Jackson’s unforgettable music will be brought to life again. Some of the world’s leading artists will perform Michael’s greatest hits live in Vienna in front of one of the most fascinating historical sites in Europe and celebrate the life of the ‘King of Pop.’”
Jermaine Jackson and other members of the Jackson clan will be performing as well. Stars who are said to be part of the tribute show include Madonna, U2, Lionel Richie and Whitney Houston. These have yet to be confirmed.
Last Friday, Jermaine Jackson told Larry King that Vienna was “a very dear place for Michael”, as the singer “loved castles”.
Tickets for the event, which reportedly will take place in September, go on sale August 20th.

For God’s sake, let the man rest in peace. People hyped his career to heights even he couldn’t reach and are still doing it after his death. They kept telling him, You got to top “Thriller”. The facts are, Michael didn’t need to top “Thriller”, he was one of the greatest artists in the history of show business and would’ve been even without “Thriller”. Jermaine and Joe Jackson are only thinking about the dollar signs, and are not thinking about Michael. I really feel for the pain Mrs. Jackson and her other children are going through since the death of Michael. My advise to Jermaine and Joe Jackson, stop the hype, Michael didn’t need it.
