Reportedly, the prior preliminary plans have been scrapped for a possible memorial at Neverland as well as a 125-mile funeral procession from L.A. to the Santa Barbara County Neverland Ranch (pics below).
Previously, it was reported by CNN, TMZ and other news outlets that a public viewing will take place on Friday July 3, 2009 at Neverland Ranch, which was the late singer’s home from 1987 to 2005; the sprawling ranch once held a private zoo and an amusement park, as Neverland pictures below reveal.
The Neverland Ranch address is 5225 Figueroa Mountain Road, Los Olivos, CA 93441.
Reportedly plans were made for a motorcade of at least 30 vehicles to transport Jackson’s remains from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara County, California, which is where the ranch is located. It has been reported that the departure time will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009. However, as has been reported by USA Today, these plans have not been confirmed.
A new report today from CNN indicates that “two dozen TV satellite trucks” arrived at the Neverland Ranch where construction vehicles and numerous fans have already been arriving, as the LA Times reports. CNN reiterates their earlier report that plans are underway for a Friday, July 3, 2009 Michael Jackson memorial.
TMZ.com has also reported on a white carriage hearse which has been spotted in Santa Barbara County.
No matter what the day or time, it is certain that public portions of the memorial will be televised, and with the aforementioned TV satellite trucks in place, it will be possible to watch Michael Jackson Funeral live online; fans around the world, can share in on the tributes and pay final respects even if they cannot be physically present via Michael Jackson funeral live streaming video. The story continues to develop, and as confirmation from the Jackson family and officials comes we will know the answer to questions: When is Michael Jackson’s funeral? What time is the Michael Jackson public viewing? Will there be a Michael Jackson funeral procession? Will there be a white carriage funeral hearse?
The tributes and ceremonies, as they are covered live will be massive, honoring a music legend. Michael Jackson’s musical legacy is towering. Winner of 13 Grammy Awards, he had career sales of singles and albums of more than 750 million worldwide, including the 1982 album Thriller, the best selling album in music history. The singer is survived by his three children Michael Joseph Jackson Jr, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11; and Prince Michael II, (aka Blanket Jackson).

I miss Michael and have been crying all week. How absolutely tragic. Nonetheless, I had an amazing idea for his funeral - though I am writing this half-way in jest. It would be “killer” to have his funeral where everyone dresses up as ghouls and zombies (like those in his “Thriller” video) and they follow the hearse to the cemetery walking like zombies! What a royal, memorable tribute that would be!

I think they should bury him above ground at the neverland ranch so that those who are unable to go to the funeral will be able to visit him later on. elvis’ graceland is a tourist attraction and i think that neverland would be the best place for him.

Neverland should be the place where Michael Jackson’s body stays forever. He spent his happiest years there.

If you were true MJ fans you would know this: After the first raid on his Neverland ranch after the first child molestation accusation he had Neverland torn down and he never set foot on the property ever again. He said the police had ruined his blessed home by searching through his personal property. Neverland is nothing now. There is nothing there but the empty shell of a house. Why would he want to rest there for eternity?

I watched La Toya Jackson on Celebrity Big Brother in Jan 2009. She said then that “Michael had said He would never return to Neverland” I hope he does not end up there as he obviously did not want to be there and if they do put him there it will only be about money. Already the vulture’s are circling trying to decide the best way to make the most money from someone who’s not even buried. Elvis was not originally buried at Graceland and if Elvis had been given the choice would he have wanted to be buried where he died on a toilet? Steve Irwin was entombed in his zoo, Princess Diana was buried in Althorp House, her family home, set in 15,000 acres of Northamptonshire countryside, surely there is somewhere more suitable to be found for Michael Jackson? A place of beauty, tranquillity, and joyfulness?
The image of Michael Jackson roaming the Neverland Estate for all eternity having to listen to tourist’s comment’s about what might or might not have happened there is an insult to his memory and a place I do not want him to be. I hope there is such a place to be found for Michael to rest in peace. A place of safety from the madness that being the “King of Pop” bring’s. Rest in peace Michael Jackson.
