In recent days, news has traveled that the 16-year-old teen pop stars have gotten back together.
Miley Cyrus revealed in a radio interview that she and Nick Jones had ‘reconnected.’ Older brother Joe Jonas essentially confirmed the rekindled relationship during a recent interview on Larry King Live.
With such a back story it goes without saying that for Jonas Brothers fans and Miley Cyrus fans, the Miley Cyrus Nick Jonas Texas duet Before The Storm got the band’s world tour off to a rousing and memorable start. Additionally, the Internet has been abuzz with the kiss at the end; the teen stars share a kiss on the cheek.
Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Kevin Jonas collectively share songwriting credit for the Before The Storm lyrics and music which has some heartrending lines: ‘I was thinking back to where we started and how we lost all that we are./We were young and times were easy but I can see it’s not the same.’ You can see all of the Before the Storm lyrics here.
The ‘Lines Vines and Trying Times’ album was just released internationally on June 16, 2009 with the Jonas Brothers World tour kicking off at the New Cowboy Stadium, Arlington, Texas on June 20, 2009, at the enormous stadium which seats 50,000. Prior to the concert, Nick Jonas shared his thoughts:
“Putting this show together is so much different than anything we’ve ever done before…We tried to add some musicians, some horn players and some string players, just to fill in the space, and fill in the sound as well.”
New York City band Honor Society and Season 6 American Idol winner Jordin Sparks were the supporting acts at the concert. Sparks and the band performed together on the new single and title track of her forthcoming sophomore album, Battlefield, which you can see here. Along the way, other supporting acts will join the band on various tour dates, including Korean pop group Wonder Girls as the Jonas Brothers continue their tour after their memorable kickoff in Texas with their special guest.
