At around 3 a.m. Eastern Time, June 22, 2009, Perez Hilton claimed via his Twitter that Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am assaulted him outside a nightclub in Toronto, after the MuchMusic Video Awards ceremony where the former had been a presenter and the latter a performer. UPDATE: TMZ obtained video of the alleged incident which you can see here. They reported earlier that Toronto police told them that Polo Molina, the general manager of the Black Eyed Peas, is under investigation and that he turned himself in to police early in the morning, June 22.

According to the Toronto Star, the police confirm that Perez Hilton did contact them with an assault allegation, but they had no comment pending an investigation. The Star later received an email from the celebrity blogger himself regarding the Perez Hilton Will.i.am incident.
“I would never make up something like that…I spoke truthfully to the authorities and they are investigating the assault,” he wrote.
Perez Hilton tweeted several times after the alleged assault, including an accusatory tweet at around 4 a.m. naming names: “I was assaulted by Will. I. Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.”
He later tweeted: “Still waiting for the police. The bleeding has stopped. I need to document this. Please, can the police come to the SoHo Met Hotel.” And later: “The Toronto police are here now. Thank you. Please stop calling them.”
Perez Hilton assaulted? The Will.i.am Twitter reveals a different story. The Black Eyed Peas frontman tweeted shortly before 6 a.m.: “Perez Hilton is a liar.” He also posted a video on his Web site, which can be seen here or watched below, as it has now also been posted on YouTube, in which he talks about what happened that night.
