The Grammy Award winning band which is also known as DMB performed their signature hits, ‘So Much to Say,’ and ‘Crash Into Me.’ The Dave Matthews Today Show video also reveals the band performing ‘Funny the Way it Is,’ which is the lead single from their newly released seventh studio album, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King.

DMB released ‘Funny the Way It Is’ as a free download on their Web site. The single has since peaked at No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100. The new album is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 next week. All of the previous four consecutive Dave Matthews Band albums, including their most recent album, the 2005 album Stand Up, have debuted at No. 1.

Dave Matthews Band is presently comprised of frontman Matthews along with Stefan Lessard, Boyd Tinsley, and Carter Beauford. One of the founding members, LeRoi Moore, died several months ago after injuries sustained in an ATV accident. ‘Shake Me’ which is one of the tracks on the new album, features a solo saxophone performance from Moore, as a tribute.

The Dave Matthews Tour in North America is ongoing, with confirmed summer tour dates through October 2, 2009.
