The American Idol May 13 results are in. American Idol Top 3 results find Danny Gokey sent home, leaving Adam Lambert and Kris Allen as American Idol Top 2 finalists. See photos and video here.
American Idol Season 8
After the American Idol Top 3 gave us judge’s choice and finalist choice, now it was the voters’ choice. Voters picked the 23-year-old Kris Allen and 27-year-old Adam Lambert.
Danny Gokey had been seen as a strong contender all along, and, had never wound up in the bottom three throughout the competition. The 29-year-old music teacher and church music director from Milwaukee, Wisconsin sang his unique rendition of the Joe Crocker You Are So Beautiful as the American Idol May 13 results night came to a conclusion.
Last week all finalists returned to their hometowns, as is the American Idol tradition, with video montage shown of each visit. Adam Lambert went to San Diego, California, Danny Gokey to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Kris Allen to central Arkansas. Throughout the season we have seen many outstanding performances, notably Kris Allen (Ain’t No Sunshine), Danny Gokey (What Hurts The Most), and Adam Lambert (Wild Cherry, ‘Play that Funky Music’).
We have seen Allison Iraheta, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Michael Sarver, Alexis Grace, Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez sent home. In a double elimination night Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai went home.
Now Danny Gokey has left. We are down to the wire. Two finalists, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen and only one will be the season 8 American Idol.

Kris Allen is a joke. His voice is by far weaker than the other two. Not to mention he sings out of the side of his mouth which I realize many of Americans find sexy, however, it’s greatly annoying and makes me want to put toothpicks in his lips to keep them even. Come on for crying out loud, you’ve not had a stroke that we’ve heard of, stop looking like it!

When I voted last night, I first dialed the 01 number for Danny and got the response, “Thank you for voting for contestant #1. I hung up and then pushed redial and I received a busy signal. I hung up again and pushed redial and I received the response, “Thank you for voting for contestant #2″. So, at least one vote for Danny went to Kris! I wonder how many more might have went to the wrong person.

Good on you Danny hearing your and you sing I think your a great person. Your very talent and i’m sure did everyone proud we haven’t heard the last of you in the music industry. I’ve been cheering from you here in Australia from the start good on you.

I think chris has a great style, great voice and great look. he is the only one of the final three that has the ability to add an instrument to his songs. He is better rounded than the other two. Danny may have a stronger voice but he never really knocked anything out of the park. Adam is to theatrical and is always screaming. Chris all the way
