It was quite a flashdance and quite a visual treat for spectators who just happened to be in Central London in Piccadilly Circus at just the right time when 100 young women in leotards and high heels began to dance to the Beyonce chart topping hit ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)’ from her third studio album, I am…Sasha Fierce.
The dancers used the same choreography of the original Beyonce video for the hit single, which featured Beyonce and two backup dancers, and has been frequently parodied both on YouTube and, famously on Saturday Night Live, by Justin Timberlake, in a leotard. The Beyonce flash-dance video was shot in black and white like the original video
The Beyonce 100 Single Ladies flashdance was to promote Beyonce free concert at O2 Arena in London which is sponsored by Trident Gum and will be held on November 15, 2009. In recessionary times, a free concert by an international music superstar is quite a gift.
The company offers 13,000 tickets and UK residents can win a pair by buying a pack of Trident Gum and filling out an entry form.
The event was created by Pretty Green, from a concept by Initials Marketing to bring more awareness of the free Beyonce concert in London.
