Troublemaker, Russell Brand, and Jonathan Ross are in hot water for pulling a nasty little sex prank! Get the dirt below with photos and video to follow.
British comedian and troublemaker, Russell Brand, and his partner in crime, Jonathan Ross, have been suspended after a terrible and very immature prank. The two, who host a BBC radio show, made several prank phone calls to actor Andrew Sachs.
“I am sorry that I upset Mr. Sachs.” Brand also acknowledged his “stupid error of judgment.”
Andrew Sachs, who is now 78 years old, was most famously known for playing Manuel on “Fawlty Towers”. Something I’ve seen a few times growing up. Brand and Ross thought it would be funny to prank Sachs and leave messages about their intimate sexual knowledge of his granddaughter, Georgina Baillie, a twenty-three year old burlesque performer. In the end Ross and Brand did call the actor back trying to apologize but reportedly began laughing and making jokes again.
Picturing Manuel getting these messages actually makes me giggle. Have you seen the show before? But this is of course wrong and both Brand and Ross have owned up to their out of line sex prank which has left both of them suspended indefinitley!
Russell Brand has since quit and decided to move forward explaining:
“As I only do the radio show to make people laugh, I’ve decided that given the subsequent coverage I will stop doing the show. I got a bit caught up in the moment and forgot that at the core of the rude comments and silly songs were the real feelings of a beloved and brilliant comic actor and a very sweet and big-hearted young woman.”
The BBC isn’t happy at all and has had to deal with thousands of complaints. Oh, and Russell Brand wasn’t lying about the sexual knowledge! He has in fact hooked up previously with the dancer.

The Cure just released their new album. Their thirteenth studio album! It’s been that long? The band, who formed back in 1976, named their latest 4:13 Dream.
The 4:13 Dream is a mix of pop and alternative rock. After planning several release dates in the end the once planned double album was officially released yesterday. The Cure had recorded over thirty songs for 4:13 Dream, some older songs that had been revamped, but ultimately decided against the idea going with a traditional track listing.
All in all majority of the tracks are upbeat with the darker tracks to be reportedly released at a later time.

Actor Joaquin Phoenix quitting acting?! The Walk The Line star attended the Paul Newman benefit this past Monday night where he made his announcement. Phoenix has plans to jump into the music biz. Are you surprised? I am.
Phoenix has been known to make crazy statements but I think this one is real. Apparently he told Extra -”I want to take this opportunity… also to give you the exclusive and just talk a little bit about the fact that this will be my last performance as an actor… I’m not doing films anymore.”
When questioned if Joaquin Phoenix was seriously quitting acting he replied – ”Yeah. I’m working on my music. I’m done. I’ve been through that.”
Joaquin Phoenix’s brother in law, Casey Affleck, was also on hand to confirm the rumors. I can’t wait to see what Phoenix comes up with. He is, however, one of my favorite actors so the news is a little bitter sweet.
The actor is currently working on an album with Tim Burgess of The Charlatans.

Taylor Swift’s new single off her Fearless album You’re Not Sorry is now available. The song’s story is about a woman breaking up with her boyfriend and telling him, you guessed it, that he’s not sorry.
“When I go into the studio, it’s really more about portraying the song in a way that gets the feeling across, rather than every phrase being exactly perfect. . . . I think it’s the writer in me that’s a little more obsessed with the meaning of the song than the vocal technique,” Swift commented on her recording sessions for the album. “All that stuff is like math to me. Over-thinking vocals and stuff – I never want to get to that point.”
Fearless is scheduled for release on November 11th. Meanwhile, enjoy the audio below.

Lily Allen has released her new single, Everyone’s At It. The song comes off of her upcoming second studio album.
“I’m not trying to say that I’m smelling of roses but when will we tire of putting s**t up our noses. It’s meant to be fun and this just doesn’t feel right.”
The song focuses on the abuse or just plain everyday use of prescription and street drugs. Allen, who isn’t a stranger to the party scene, released the new track on her myspace page.
“Why can’t we all just be honest/ admit to ourselves that everyone’s on it/ From politicians to young adolescents/ prescribing themselves anti-depressants.”
Allen’s second album is titled It’s Not Me and will land in stores sometime in Feb. 2009!

Zac Efron has plans to star in the upcoming remake of Footloose! Get the details below with photos and video after the jump.
Footloose is making a comeback! The 80’s teen flick, which previously starred Kevin Bacon, will be remade with Zac Efron as the lead star of the film. Bacon has reportedly already given the very excited Efron his blessing!
Efron, who has caused quite a stir among the teen girl population, will reportedly be hard at work on the Footloose remake as early as spring. A few of the original songs from back in the day will also be featured in the revamp.
Director Peter Sollett from “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” will be writing the script.

R&B singer, Brandy, has released the second new single from her latest album, Human. We have the album version of Long Distance here for you to enjoy along with the lyrics. This is Brandy’s fifth studio album. This single was produced by Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins. It premiered on October 3rd on WAMO, a radio station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
“‘Human’ is my most personal album to date,” Brandy says. “I have grown so much since my last album. Being able to express myself and my journey through my music is a feeling I can’t describe. With this new chapter of my life it feels good to have Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, a familiar face, by my side again. He brings out emotions in me like nobody else.”
Human will be released in the United States on December 9, 2008.

John Legend’s new album, Evolver, is ready to hit shelves this coming Tuesday. The new album features collaborations with Andre 3000, Brandy, and Kanye West.
Speaking out about his latest work Legend told MTV – “I think it’s hard to find a general theme [for the album]. It’s a lot of love and relationship songs, as people probably would expect from me. There’s not an overarching lyrical theme that goes throughout. It’s just a bunch of good songs, I think.”
I also hear that Legend’s new album is something we haven’t heard from him before. Evolver promises to be upbeat. Andre 3000 spoke out about legend mixing things up this time – “It’s going to be a surprise for a lot of John Legend fans, because it is a lot more upbeat than John is — than people think John is. I was actually happy to hear it. This is a cool John Legend song.”
Evolver drops October 28th.
