British singer/songwriter Katie Melua has sold more than 10 million albums, mostly in the U.K. The Katie Melua Collection is her fourth album that outlines her musical career to present that was released in October 2008.
Melua released a live album recorded at London’s O2 Arena recorded in November, 2008 called Live At The O2 Arena. This latest album features 19 tracks, including her international hit single Nine Million Bicycles.
Meet the Klaxons. This London-based band is sure to move you. They are a rock band at heart, with a rave twist. This up and coming band is largely inspired by dance music, but also motivated to create a punk/rock/funk feel, make sense? See if the Klaxons have what it takes to carry you in their music video called Atlantis to Interzone.
This psychedelic band are united amongst their distinctive sounds of: Jamie Reynolds, James Righton, and Simon Taylor. Reynolds has even dubbed his band “nu-rave” to articulate their new and fresh approach.
While touring in Europe, Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s talented, woefully-underexposed younger sister) performed her cover of Björk’s“It’s Oh So Quiet”…which is a cover of Betty Hutton’s “Blow a Fuse.” I think Björk’s response to this is the same one she gave that annoying reporter in Bangkok.

Brian Anthony is ready to release his music video for Worked Up! The superstar has been working hard on his latest single, ready for release this October, which should easily land him in the spotlight!
The singer spoke about his new track stating -”I’m hoping to shake up a lot of dance floors when ‘Worked Up!’ hits the streets. We’ve enlisted some of my favorite producers and DJs to remix the track and we’ve got some surprises in store too. I am so looking forward to connecting with audiences and getting everyone Worked Up!”

Brian Anthony, a California native, has been perfecting his craft since an early age. The singer and songwriter (yes, he actually writes his own material) began playing the piano in his early years as a child. During high school the musician began recording in the studio as well as taking up piano lessons and vocal training in an effort to further his experience in the music field.
Later down the road a successful win on NBC’s “Name Your Adventure, and opportunity to record “Save Me from the Pain” with artists Boyz 2 Men, managed to get Anthony into the music industry. Now the artist, who has two top charting singles, is quickly climbing the ladder to pop stardom.

Oasis is ready to release their latest album called Dig Out Your Soul. Check out their latest single off the upcoming record with photos after the jump.
Oasis is only days away from releasing their seventh studio album! Has it been that many? Hitting U.S. shelves on October 7th the band’s latest studio sessions are a little bit of everything with the kitchen sink thrown in. Hey, those aren’t my words but a promise of sorts from Noel Gallagher regarding the upcoming album titled, Dig Out Your Soul.
“All the tunes I’ve written recently have been on the kind of acoustic side, you know? But for the next record I really fancy doing a record where we just completely throw the kitchen sink at it. We haven’t done that since Be Here Now. I’d like to get, like, a 100-piece orchestra and choirs and all that stuff.”
The ego-maniacal Brit (which is why we love him) and his fellow rockers are said to be turning out a heavier, less acoustic collection. Gallagher also disclosed in recent interviews that he has written about everything he can so far in his career. At this point he is apparenty pulling inspiration from “psychedelic trips as a younger man.”
“I wanted to write music that had a groove; not songs that followed that traditional pattern of verse, chorus and middle eight,” Gallagher says. “I wanted a sound that was more hypnotic; more driving.”
Whatever the case I’m sure they’ll deliver something great.

Jessica Biel, famous for her role as Mary Camden on Seventh Heaven, is working on an album. The twenty-six year old, who is envied by millions since she has been seen on the arm of ladies man, Justin Timberlake, promises her debut work as a singer will be a smash hit!
“Most people don’t know that Jessica’s first love is actually singing, not acting, and she’s appeared in productions of ‘Annie’ and ‘The Sound of Music’. Jessica is really excited about the CD!” a friend explained.
Biel’s upcoming LP is said to be a cross between the stylings of Madonna and Alicia Keys. Justin Timberlake is reportedly helping his girl in the studio as well. J.T is doing a little writing and producing for his girlfriend. No word yet on when the actress will be releasing her new album.

Reality TV queen, Kim Kardashian, has recently announced her interest in making an album. Kardashian told E! “I would be down, if it was something fun. I love music, so it would just have to be the right thing.”
Although the actress, who is currently busy perfecting her dance moves for her upcoming stint on “Dancing With The Stars”, hasn’t sealed the deal with a label, she appears to know just who she wouldn’t mind collaborating with.
The starlet “would love to work with, like, Timbaland as a producer and maybe Justin Timberlake.” She also expressed an interest with throwing a little Michael Jackson in the deal!

Universal Republic Records has signed on their latest contribution to the pop world. Erin McCarley is a new artist with a great voice and music to match. Talented and heartbreakingly honest, McCarley is pretty upfront about her feelings “It’s hard for me to write about being happy,” McCarley admits. “I don’t prefer being sad, but it’s a real spot for me. If you met me, I’m not this dark, sulking person, though I’m not bubbly by any means, either. I guess it comes down to the fact that I’m not afraid of being sad.” Check her out.
She’s only in her twenties and already exudes an old soul attitude. Erin McCarley grew up in the burbs of Dallas in what sounds like a June Cleaver household. Growing up in such a solid family unit you would think McCarley would be pretty content. Instead the artist says “It kind of gave me an unrealistic view of everything.” The unrealistic which seems to have added a dose of wisdom to her lyrics.
Since her childhood in Garland McCarley has laid her roots in San Diego for a time selling clothes in a boutique. Around that time the pop singer began writing her own songs and cites Fiona Apple and Spoon as her creative muses.
“Most nights I’d end up with an unfinished song. But when the day would come when all the pieces would align, and I’d know this is a song for people to hear, there is no better release in the world.
Since then McCarley has moved to Nashville, now her current home, were she writes and sings. McCarley debut album, Love, Save the Empty, is due out this October.

“Heroes” starlet, Hayden Panettiere, has released her new track, “Wake Up Call”. Check out the track and photos after the jump.
Everybody’s favorite Heroes cheerleader, Hayden Panettiere, has finally released her track titled Wake Up Call from her upcoming album. The single is off of her yet untitled debut album due out sometime in 2009.
Crossing the line from actress to singer, which doesn’t always end successfully for some Hollywood actress’, Panettiere does come with some musical experience. She has recorded songs on several projects. Appearing on movie soundtracks for Bring It On: All or Nothing, Bridge to Terabithia, Cinderella III: A Twist in Time and more.
Panettiere’s goal for her very own upcoming musical debut was to create a mix of tracks that doesn’t sound alike. Let’s hope she doesn’t fall short on that aspect. Her first single, Wake Up Call, leaves alot to be desired. Signed with Hollywood Records, the newly released single sounds a little too much like Paris Hilton singing karaoke to a Gwen Stefani track. Let’s cross our fingers in hopes that the animal activist has more to come with some substance.
