Country singing sensation Blake Shelton is causing an uproar with his recent homophobic tweets but did he mean anything by them? It is a hot topic and one that has GLADD asking for an apology from Shelton.

Here is the lowdown on what started this latest drama with The Voice judge. Last night he went on Twitter and sent out about rewriting the lyrics to Shania Twain’s hit song ‘Any Man of Mine’, these couple of lines are what started the whole controversy.

“Re-writing my fav Shania Twain song. Any man that tries Touching my behind He’s gonna be a beaten, bleedin’, heaving kind of guy…”

That immediately caused a slew of responses or as the singer called them “anti-gay hate tweets.” Soon after GLADD stepped in and called the powers that be at The Voice demanded that Blake issue an apology for his words. Since then Shelton has tweeted this apology.

Hey, y’all allow me to seriously apologize for the misunderstanding with the whole re-write on the Shania song last night…It honestly wasn’t even meant that way… I now know that (there) are people out there waiting to jump at everything I say on here or anywhere. But when it comes to gay/lesbian rights or just feelings… I love everybody. So go look for a real villain and leave me out of it!!!”

What Blake tweeted certainly showed a lack of class whether he meant anything by it or not. He could have chosen his words more wisely that is true. Did he mean anything by it well he said no but even his apology didn’t seem 100% sincere. It is easy to see how his words could offend someone especially in the cyber world. I don’t know if Blake is homophobic or not that is not for me to say. But considering all the cyber bullying going on in today’s world maybe Mr. Shelton should think before he tweets. That is what I think what about you?

During a recent concert in Ecuador Miley Cyrus decided to cover the Nirvana song ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ and now Kurt Cobain is turning over in his grave. You can check out the video for yourself right her but I warn you it will make your ears hurt.

I don’t know what in the world Cyrus was thinking when she decided to cover the hit Nirvana song but the end result was disastrous and honestly so disgraceful to a classic song. First of all Miley cannot pull off grunge no matter what anyone tells her. Second I don’t even think she knew the words to the song, in the video you can barely understand what she was saying but that could be because she was literally eating the microphone.

It’s been one heck of a weekend for Justin Bieber as the teen heartthrob performed in Australia. It seems like the Biebs is beloved everywhere, except for down under, because he was pelted with eggs during a performance on Friday!

While he performed on stage at the ACER Arena in Sydney over the weekend, an aerial egg assault put a damper on a Justin Bieber concert when half a dozen eggs appear to drop from above onto the stage during his performance.

80’s heartthrob Rick Springfield was busted for a DUI over the weekend. He was booked and eventually released on bail but what caused the LAPD to pick up the singer?

It looks like rocker Rick Springfield hasn’t learned the whole don’t drink and drive concept as he was arrested over the weekend for suspicion of driving drunk in LaLa Land. Really Rick you are 61-years old and have lots of money you couldn’t call a cab, I am just saying. According to TMZ, the cops pulled over Rick at around 8PM on Saturday for what was assumed to be a normal traffic violation, turns out it wasn’t. The car apparently reeked of booze which of course prompted the cops to give Springfield a number of sobriety tests that he ultimately failed. Once he failed the tests the ‘Jessie’s Girl’ singer was taken to jail but released on a $5,000 bail shortly after he was busted.

Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora is headed back to rehab and it is his own choice. In fact he could check himself in as early as today.

According to RadarOnline, they claim that Richie has been drinking a little bit too much lately so he is going back to rehab to work on his sobriety and get some rest. Sambora and the rest of the boys are in the middle of a U.S tour which they will finish at the end of May before heading off to Europe. There is no word on how Richie’s going back to rehab will affect the tour. I am sure that Jon and the boys just want what is best for their friend and will do right by him and the fans. I actually am scheduled to see the guys in a couple of weeks so I am a little curious as to what is going to happen, but Richie getting better is the most important thing.

It seems that the song ‘Friday’ is not going anywhere, in fact it just keeps getting more popular. The latest crew to do a video to the tune is some Dancing With The Stars peeps and a former American Idol contestant. It may seem redundant but not this time oh no the video is a must see, which you can do right here.

Chelsea Kane, Mark Ballas, Lil’ Romeo, Chelsea Hightower and Pia Toscano took a little break from dancing or in Pia’s case visiting a dancer, to do their own version of that ridiculous song ‘Friday’. It is Kane who kicks things off with Mark joining in on a beatbox soon after. Pretty soon Lil’ Romeo and Hightower get their groove on as well. Pia comes in towards the end.

Fans at the Houston concert of Lady Gaga got quite a show. One might even say they got more than they bargained for when the singer fell on stage while performing!

The fabulous Lady Gaga took a tumble last night on stage during her concert in Houston. However, being the professional that she is, she didn’t miss a beat. It was the AI shocker of the season, so far, when the super talented Pia Toscano was given the boot by America. Well it looks like that could very well have been the best thing that happened to Pia.

In just a couple of short days Toscano has managed to get kicked off the reality TV, land a record deal and a new man. Oh yes you read it all correctly. The lovely Pia has may not have gotten close to winning AI but that seems to quite all right since she is the newest client at Interscope Records, US Weekly was the first to break the story. The record company snatched the singing sensation up very quickly after she was ousted from the show. Word on the street is that that powers that be at Interscope want her in the studio ASAP and an album released pronto. Looks like someone at the record company knows a good thing when they see it, this girl is going to be a star.
