No Doubt Tickets: Free Music

No Doubt has announced the launch of their 2009 tour, and they’ve got a little bonus for fans planning to see the live show. Anyone who purchases a No Doubt ticket at full price will have access to a free digital download of the band’s entire music catalog! I don’t think you can beat that.

No Doubt announced plans for their 2009 tour in December 2008 via a live iChat with fans, saying they’ll hit the road soon and continue to work on their new album. But you’ll get more than a live show this time around. With every purchase of a full-priced ticket at $42.50 or more, you will get a free download of every song No Doubt has recorded and released so far. Guitarist Tom Dumont said,

“Since the band is heading back to the road, we wanted to find a cool way to get people listening to our music and stoke them with a great deal at the same time. With this download it’s easy for fans to get psyched up to hear our music live once again and that rocks.”

The tour kicks off in May 2009 with Paramore as the opening band, and it will be the first time No Doubt has played together like this in 5 years. Mixed in with an upcoming album and a fun summer tour, the band will premiere their track “Stand and Deliever” on May 11, 2009 on an episode of “Gossip Girl”. There is certainly a lot to look forward to for No Doubt fans.

Shari Addison: New Gospel Album

Meet Shari Addison, a gospel singer who made a name for herself on BET’s “Sunday Best”. See her biography, photos, and video here.

Shari Addison

Shari Addison’s debut self-titled album was released January 13, 2009 with Verity Records. The reviews have been fantastic, and sales should be strong for this gospel CD. Her first single, “No Battle, No Blessing”, made it to #1 on the gospel charts. Producer Kevin Bond says,

“Shari Addison is a name that the national and international community of believers will come to recognize and enjoy for years to come. The raw power of her voice, coupled with the weight of her testimony, will leave an indelible impression on all who are blessed to experience the depth of her anointing. I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to work on her first solo effort.”

Shari Addison Biography

As a biography, Shari Addison is 45 years old. She has four daughters ages 4 to 24 with her husband, Lewis Addison. They live in Chicago where Shari is a minister and psalmist at the Bright Star Church of God in Christ.

Shari came in second on BET’s American Idol-like talent competition, “Sunday Best”. One day while taking a shower, she wondered when they would make a gospel-centered, and suddenly on BET, she heard it. Her cousin looked into auditions, and she landed a spot on the show as the “wild card”. In the end, she was named the “winner up”.

Shari has made several appearances since her stint on “Sunday Best”, including a performance at the African-American Church Inaugural Ball. At the Ball, she sang “It’s Your Time”, which speaks to the path her career and President Obama’s career have taken.

“It not only speaks to me walking through a new door in my life, a new chapter — it signifies anybody out there to be encouraged that when it’s your time, you can’t miss that circle. The time is now for you to prosper. … You may have been waiting for a long time. And I know I have. I’ve had this desire to be full-time in my music ministry forever — it feels like forever.”

Friends have called Shari “a singing beast”. She describes herself as funny, bubbly, and a quiet storm.
